Whoa! Records raises $700, 400 pounds of food for Gleaners Community Food Bank

The 2011 Whoa! Records Benefit Show, the first in what will hopefully become an annual tradition, was an overwhelming success! With all of your help, we were able to have a rocking time while raising over $700 and nearly 400 pounds of food for Gleaners Community Food Bank in Detroit.

Well over 200 fans showed up to watch the P.T.’s Revenge, Slo-Poke, Wrist-Rocket, Blindshot and Ten Ninety Dec. 30 at Small’s in Hamtramck. Those of you attending the show were asked to bring $6 or two cans of food. Many of you brought entire bags of food, and in doing so, helped us exceed all of our wildest expectations. Because of you, many Detroit families won’t go hungry.

Keeping it all together wasn’t easy, and there are many people – Mike, Melody, Jeff, Anthony, and everyone else working at Small’s that night – that kept the whole thing running smoothly.

We would also like to thank Liquid Chaos Tattoos, Jeff Gaydash and InkAddict for donating items for the raffle.

Most importantly, a big thanks goes out to all the fans for showing up to watch some great bands and to support a very worthy case.
